The train has left Normal! Updates from Guide (Oct 12)

Congrats! May I ask when yours left Normal and when it arrived at the SC?

My guide was not really able to tell me when it left Normal but I deduced (from forums like this) that it left Normal on or around 10/12 and my guide said it arrived at the West Sac SC on Friday afternoon (10/28).

Anyone know what the Seattle/Bellevue SC delivery situation is like? There's quite a few R1s in their lot at any given time, but I'm not going to go sneaking around checking VINs to see if one of them's mine (not that I haven't considered it...). Like a lot of people, I got the Sept 30 treatment. I didn't get any shipment notification, but when I asked my guide on the 14th if it was en route yet, the answer was yes. So it seems likely to have been on one of these same trains - does the status on 8 steps change from 'Preparing Vehicle' when it gets to the SC for final check? I'm going to be traveling for work for a bit, and am telling myself that my fun new toy will be waiting for me when I get back...

you might want to check with @domoplaytime but based on everything I've seen, it's likely already there and you should be getting the 'schedule delivery' email pretty soon here.

This is awesome to hear. Hopefully the PDI goes well and you confirm a delivery date. Keep us updated!

Still awaiting a call from the SC to schedule delivery. My ctrl and R keys are wearing out from the constant page reloads …

There could be several factors at play. Maybe QC just got to my truck first, and maybe yours is last in the queue. Maybe yours has issues and is being held by the SC for repairs before letting you schedule delivery, or worse. Or maybe they shipped your truck to the wrong location.

Mine might just not have made the same train, as the one thing my guide would confirm is that it's still in transit as of 10/20. But thanks for the fun worries, I'll add em to the list

Oh that's awesome, thanks. If and when I get the truck, that'll be invaluable. And I'll have to start hassling you (and maybe other Seattle area owners?) about places to actually use the thing - it'll be my first foray into autos that cost more than $20k, and it'd be fun to get out and actually try my hand at the whole offroading thing.

yes, pickup slots were just opened and sent for thurs, fri, saturday. i picked one of the slots.

I only received an email from rivian that step 8 was now open in my account and to schedule my pickup time. there is a calendar provided that you can choose from available time slots and confirm. i would have picked thursday but i'm in an all day training.. :-(

I also drove by the site yesterday at 2:30pm and almost no trucks were outside and i assumed they were all in the warehouse space getting worked on.
