Elon doesn't read these forums. You don't have to do this.
I could not give a you-know-what about what Musk reads or not if I tried. I am not a Tesla fanboy, either.
I own two Teslas and an R1S. Simply describing my experience. My Model Y Performance is truly a masterpiece in most every way.
Rivians break down like hell for many. My Model Y Performance is hyper allergic to the Tesla service center, the mobile version also.

To Caesar what is his. The number one EV in the world. No accident. But no worries, you can simply continue ignoring facts and crawl back to under that favorite rock of yours ?

New Y is inoffensive and will continue as a world mass market car.
Perhaps you own one and speak out of experience. "Inoffensive," dull are adjectives I hardly would use to describe my glorious Model Y. As for "mass market [sic] car," well, agree with you. Great cars like the Model Y being the #1 in the world do inevitably tend to sell by the thousands upon thousands. Goes with the territory. You nailed it!

Those are exactly the words I'd use to describe it. It's why I never bought one even after driving every variant. It's just so, unremarkable. They're great Uber cars though, I'll admit that. Sort of a modern Toyota Camry in spirit. Nothing wrong with that. There is a market for it.

I owned one which I sold before buying my R1T. It's a great car and I liked it. I have no idea why you're being so defensive. There's a lot to like about the Y and even more so about the new one. The style is fairly bland though, but that's perfect for a car that's meant to sell in huge numbers.

Not being defensive at all. You described it as "inoffensive."
The glorious Model Y sells in large numbers, more than any other EV because it is a great car in most every way; otherwise, it would not sell in such huge numbers. That is just basic common economic sense. If by the former you meant "meant to sell," well, then. I concede the point.

That said, How one actually trades a Model Y for an R1T seems a bit boggling and a topic for another thread for sure.

All hail the glorious Model Y, the pinnacle of personal transport engineering that shall not be questioned as it is the progeny of benevolent god-king Elon! ALL OTHER VEHICLES SHALL FORTHE BE BANISHED

Corolla sells in huge numbers as well and is not exactly a sexy car.

Sounds like you got unresolved issues. Good luck!

Competition is good, the refresh model 3 is the best EV sedan on the market and its not particularly close imo. Rivian has serious challenges to overcome with the R2, I really hope they can deliver on both their promises and the timelines. Given the Gen 2 issues I have quality concern issues.

My Tesla Y is fantastic, I've had no issues and its never left us confused or stranded. My Rivian R1S.... I wish it was as bulletproof.

Looking forward to 2026 when my Model Y lease is up to make a decision!
