Same here. It fogs up all the time
What software version are you running? One of the last updates fixed it for me…. The one that added a toggle for the windshield vent in the hvac screen.

Even with the toggle for the windshield and having that toggle off, I still get it to fog up.

Didn’t answer the question…. We’ve seen vehicles delivered not running the latest software.

Confirming my drivers vent never works right. It has 2 issues. Rarely returns to my default position when I get in the car and I can't really get it to blow towards the center of the car.

I've also been told it's a software issue. We'll see.

I sure hope the R2 has normal manual vents. This is a terribly over engineered system.

I agree, this seems like applying tech for the sake of trying to be unique/different and prioritizing form over function. Unfortunately, the Rivian vents do end up standing out from conventional implementations but not in a good way. If they can fix the software bugs and provide a capability for some Alexa enabled pre-set positions that actually works, it might eventually be tolerable (and safely accessible while driving as well as to visually impaired passengers who should be able to control their own vents).

The last update fixed both issues with the fogging and vents for me in the loaner and my truck. Software 2022.27.2
I did check and I do have the latest software.

Same here. Basically if I point the driver side vent all the way right I can't feel any air if I put my just to left of the steering wheel. Air can only be felt traveling down the door. I actually had this issue and it went away, but now it's back after latest software update. Frustrating!
