Glad I’m not the only one who noticed that. I-77 is a primary north-south highway for a lot of traffic and is 180+ miles of mountainous terrain with no level 3 charging other than Tesla (who has done.a nice job in WV).

I read that the state is supposed to use Dieselgate money to install level 3 chargers at Tamarac in Beckley and another in the Charleston area, but that article projected 2021 opening dates, so I’m not sure if these are still planned. A little ironic that WV is still in this position when WVU was responsible for the Dieselgate discovery.
That turnpike is no joke. We're trying it in our Model Y this summer, so we'll see how an EV handles it.

PlugShare shows two single-station CCS chargers going into Charleston. Not sure what KW rating, but the fact that they're listed as CCS and not J1772 is encouraging.. One at the capitol complex and I forget the other one. Certainly not anything I consider good enough for the weary traveler.

I’ve done the turnpike many times in my Model S with no issues—there are plenty of Superchargers. If you drive it often enough, the state offers an annual rate that can save a decent amount of money.

Um...I would just love a consistent charging experience and chargers that actually WORK. How about that as your number one customer oriented goal EA?

Also, is it just me, or is there not a single RIVIAN truck in any of their illustrations? EA has beef with RIVIAN?

I think it is great idea to provide canopies/awnings that offer shade and protection from the weather, but that just means that these stations will experience being iced more than other stations. It gets dang hot in Houston in the summer and plenty of ice drivers will seek refuge from the sun by parking in a canopied area. The temperature difference in a car parked in the shade vs not is huge. It would be great for EA to have come up with a solution to prevent ice drivers from parking at their cushy new charging stations.

FL Turnpike driver here. A lot of the rest stops here have chargers (EA and Tesla superchargers). I look forward towards the day we see a noticeable amount of RAN chargers.

I'm not a Walmart shopper, so I guess this is better news? But come on, EA, do something about this.
Don't forget northern wi and the up.

A single 50kw charger for everyone north of 90/94.

Also there’s an EV desert on the mid-Atlantic coast! No EA in either Ocean City, MD and Rehoboth Beach, DE! It’s the most popular destination and they have Tesla SC in both places! C’mon EA!

There is a desert in the south with nothing on I-20 between Birmingham and Dallas, and basically nothing in Mississippi north of the coast. Makes travel west from Birmingham effectively impossible unless you want to route way out of the way to hit I-10 or I-40. Looking forward to some options on I-20 and I-22. Meridian & Tupelo would be awesome for me ;)
