WeBoost, not sure about the well thought of part though, mixed reviews.
I've been using a WEboost in my home for many years and talked my employer into letting me install one in our office when we relocated to a basement wing. I've had great success with them _but_ there are bands they don't support (their literature says the units support T-Mobile but one of their tech support people told me, flat out, that this is not true; did you know that you can sometimes hear people rolling their eyes over the telephone?). Also, I have not used one of the models that are intended for motor vehicles. Final caveat: they are signal _boosters_. If there's truly no cell service where you are, you're SOL. Unlike something that receives signal from a satellite (which are omnipresent but have other problems.)

The best thing about the WEboost, for me, is that it can bring a signal from where there is one to a location where there ain't one. My house is basically a Faraday cage. The WEboost antenna is on a 16 ft. mast outside. I get "one bar" (yeah, not a unit of EM power, but roll with it) where the antenna is and zero inside the house without the booster. Once I turn it on, I get a solid four bars inside.

Anyway, just my experience. As others have said, YMMV. And there are other manufacturers out there whose products are likely every bit as good.

Side note: I choose products based on what works best for my family and me—not based on politics.
Lots of folks don't agree with this stance, so it was brave of you to use your business profile here.

For 12 years, my family and I lived in developing nations—places where "first-world problems" don’t exist. I also spent three years in one of the most repressive regimes in modern history, so I understand global trade firsthand.

The truth? Most people—likely 9 out of 10—have bought something from China in the last month. Meanwhile, millions face far greater struggles than any first-world ideology.

My business is built on integrity, honesty, and great products with top-notch support. It’s not about politics—it’s about being kind and serving the Rivian community the best I can.

Back on topic … if using Starlink mini while moving, be aware it will cut out at speeds >70mph. We used one in our single-engine Cessna and it worked great on climb-out but once in cruise, the GPS likely decided we were going too fast and stopped working in the middle of a live-stream. Bandwidth is amazing and works great where cellular is challenged.

No. It's only 100Mb/s and higher latency.
Higher latency aside, 100 Mbps is still faster than I've ever seen the LTE hotspot in my truck. I think the most I've seen is maybe 30 Mbps and I've just assumed this is a bandwidth cap on the type of commercial account Rivian/AT&T are using. In the same location, my phone will routinely see far, far higher speeds on the same AT&T network.

In the early days I did several speed tests and routinely got well over 100Mbps. ?‍♂

Does it make sense to run your R1T wifi through Starlink Mini permanently? Will it improve your connection rate over LTE?
I don't understand the question. It is my understanding that AT&T provides connectivity to all Rivians. Are you suggesting it's possible to somehow replace the ATT&T connectivity with Starlink or are you asking about running a separate parallel network?

Amazon's answer to Starlink, Project Kuiper, is launching this year. Will be interesting to see if they can compete.

Parallel I think. I have one I use periodically when I don't have service and it works great. Just hook it up to the wifi in the truck

Now I get it. I forgot that my Rivian connects to my home wifi network, and prioritizes it over the AT&T data connection. So, you just select the Starlink as the wifi network instead of the home wifi network. Clever
