I saw this advertised on Facebook today.
https://skyliette.com/products/doggyride

I’m just curious if anyone else has tried this. I like that it has a solid floor for you dogs but they don’t show any dimensions. It just says it’ll fit any vehicle, which is BS. If it fits in my Rivian, it’s going to be too big for my Mini. I’m not very trusting of this so I’m hoping there is an alternative out there that has the same kind of floor.

Direct answer is no I have not tried it. But it looks better for my use than the non-rigid floor type. I suspect that the smaller panel on the bottom in some of the photos is the adjustment section. Maybe it folds under or wrinkles up for a smaller width?? It does however give dimensions: It is 52” inches long (132cm), 26” inches wide (66cm), 22” inches high (56cm).

That’s a cool idea, but I agree there is no way it “fits all cars”. Didn’t see any install instructions on the website to help answer that question either??‍♂

Hmm interesting, not in the 'oh man, I gotta get one and see if it works on my R1T' but rather 'I hope several people buy it and report back their experiences after six months so I can decide if I should get one'

It is probably an improvement, but I doubt it's a signifiant improvement over the better non-rigid hammocks when they're adjusted correctly. The hammock I have includes anchors that keep one end against the back corner of the seat, and the adjustment of the straps behind the front row seats means that it's pretty much locked in place with near-90 degree angles on both ends of the hammock's "floor". It might sag a little above the open footwell, but it can't sag too much because of the anchors at the back and straps holding up the front.

I would be curious what type of panel they used. Is it something that will grow mold if you need to deep clean it or after your wet dog is walking around on it? Most of those covers are just water resistant, not water proof.

I like that picture above...any link to that product?

I've got a regular hammock in my R1T and it works fine. I've had one in my previous truck and gotta say...i don't think the solid floor is necessary at all, if you have one that fits properly. my dog is 55 lbs, never been a problem...he loves being back there in the 'hammock'

Does it fold up? Store under the rear seat or in the gear tunnel?
It does fold up into 3rds, lengthwise of the seat. It can fit in the Frunk, but I haven't tried the gear tunnel. If I get a chance this evening I'll see

Still doesn't let my son sit in the back seat. I hate that apparently the people who design these things don't account for people who have both kids and dogs.
