That's a bummer as subframe alignment seems like vehicle manufacturing 101.
I’m sure it is for companies making cars for a 100 years. It will get better. At least it’s just alignments and not bad parts.

My name is Mike, and I have a (car) problem
I drove it before accepting delivery... and I've bought houses without going inside.
Two of our house purchases were made sight-unseen. Sounds crazy to anyone else I’ve said it to.

Also - FOURTH TIME WAS A CHARM. I posted this in another thread, but there are, according to the SC, “some trucks” that are harder to align. Mine is apparently one of them. But it’s dead straight now so I can’t complain.

There are roaming techs who specialize in certain portions of the truck. One who specialized in alignments was at the SC several days into my experience, and got it dialed in one shot. While this doesn’t fill me to brim with confidence the next time I need to align it, at least it’s possible. And I suspect a 3rd-party alignment shop will have better results if they are more, ahem, intimate with their alignment rack than Rivian is with theirs.

True. And then once they realized subframe alignments were off, quick adjustment to that process and it shouldn't ever happen again.
