First half 2023 delivery realistic for order placed in Nov 2021?

Is this delivery realistic? I placed just on Nov 2021 for R1S. Whenever I asked Rivian, they say it’s still on track for first half of 2023. The excitement is killing me.

For a large pack I would say yes. Max pack probably not.

They going to have to really ramp up production to get it in the next 6-9 months. I hope you’re right though.

I ordered early in 2021, but I am not optimistic that I will get it in 1H2023 (the window I was assigned). Perhaps, it's because I have been reading reports of people ordering after me already got selected for production or even delivery.

If people who ordered after you are starting production, then doesn’t that mean 2023 is likely for you?

I ordered my R1S Dec. 3, 2018.... I have no idea when I'll get mine!

You definitely have a lot of old S olders in front of you as well. I'm guessing they ramp up more S orders in 2023 too.

Nope. R1S with large pack. Initially ordered Explore trim until it was pulled by Rivian.

I ordered a Max Pack with OC interior in May 2021. At my First Drive in early August 2022 it was suggested that Max Pack batteries were still targeted for late 2023 and they were not yet building with Ocean Coast interiors. I switched to Large Pack and Forest Glen interior and had my truck within a month.

I was at the factory last week and saw that they are building with OC interiors now.

i also originally had Max Pack with OC interior with late 2021 order. Recently switched to what they were actively building (large pack and FE interior) and had truck under a month. Having a nearby service center also helps!

One to two months on the R1T large pack with an order placed in 2021? Pretty fast. R1S could be an entirely different story compared to R1T. I’d be stoked if I could get mine in before July 2023.

Not bitter towards OP as it's not his/her fault, but your late 2021 order can easily be skipped for those that ordered in 2022 (for reasons only Rivian knows), which inevitably would push you back. Perhaps you will get lucky and be the one that jumps the queue.
