Tesla charging at RAN charger at Tru Hilton hotel in Naperville, IL. Didn't realize Rivian had opened up their chargers for other EVs already. Side note, currently charging my R1T at 7.6 kW

That’s not a RAN. It’s a waypoint charger that has always been open to any EV. RAN isn’t.

you are charging at an L2 waypoint charger Not a RAN. Sot 7.6 kw makes sense.

That's not a RAN charger.
That's a Rivian waypont charger. Level 2. They've always been available to every vehicle. Similar to Tesla destination chargers, although some Tesla destination chargers are restricted to Tesla only.

Got it! That makes sense, thanks for enlightening me. Good to know the actual RAN can go well past 200kW from a quick google search. Hope to see more of 'em around Illinois soon.

Some RAN chargers have waypoints installed. The L2 chargers at RAN locations are also open to all EVs just not the DCFC
