The seat is compatible and I know it's not "supported", but it is more secure and would be a lot more stable in an impact so I'm ok with the lack of "support" which has no downside as far as I'm aware.

If it were in fact more secure and stable in an impact, don’t you think Rivian would have encouraged borrowing the latches from the sides? Instead there’s an explicit note to not do that in the manual. I dunno, to each their own, but I hope you give it another think 😊.
