Ours lost an attack by my bike crank arm.
It’s all gone.
Support line sez to visit a Rivian designated collision center because they work directly with insurance company instead of an outside facility that we’d pay and collect later.
Our fault so will pay outa pocket
Anyone break/replace any glass?

Just had something hit our back glass 2 weeks ago. Also referred to collision center. Quoted $4,600 because spoiler has to be removed and replaced (single use item). All electronics in spoiler, all interior trim.
State Farm insurance did not allow me to file a glass coverage claim and is forcing me to use my comprehensive coverage!

So yeah…. Don’t break your back glass!!! It’s ridiculously expensive. All the the other glass in the vehicle is regular repair apparently.

Also fun fact, Rivian will not sell the back glass to a non authorized collision center. So you can’t really shop around for cheaper repairs since there are so few authorized centers.

Shattering news
Too bad no one has made a hack or workaround yet - and it’s basically a flat panel of glass likely a uniform rectangle.
Shouldn’t be so costly and involved.
It’s a pick up , an ADVENTURE-centric vehicle no less, things come and go in there .

Update from OP
For grins we submitted a request with Safelite and they said they had a fit and scheduled a visit.
They a message came in about it being a tougher find then another about global supply chain issues
Tomorrow we’ll call the Authorized Rivian designated body shop
Since I don’t want nor need the heater strips I’m half tempted to professionally install a 1/4 “ smoked lexan pane!
Leave the gear tunnel and spoiler in place and silicone glaze ‘er in.
A real facility would likely not install anything without a DOT etch, but maybe since it’s not Glass………
