Looking strongly at the iKamper Mini and Condor as well.
May reach out to Roofnest to see about swapping the hinges on the Condor, but it may be that the slightly tapered end to the back is just fine (applies to both the iKamper and Roofnest)

I like the idea of the tent (as well as the kitchen) but I just wouldn't be able to use either of them enough to justify the price.

If you go camping a lot, I think they're great features and may make sense.

If you're like me and it'd be used maybe a couple times a year, then it's a harder sell. Based on the specs, I think I could just use a sleeping bag and lay in the bed with the tailgate down.
I did order the tunnel slide, I think it will make loading it and unloading it easier. Ans I can do a kitchen setup that works with it just when I need it so I don't lose the storage.

The kitchen comes with the slide, and the kitchen is removable, if that helps your decision making.

Everybody has their own preferences but we had a soft RTT, Tepui brand, but similar to the Rivian Yakima tent, and got rid of it. We camp, in a mix of designated campgrounds and remote dispersed camping, 40-70 nights a year. Setup and takedown wasn’t easy, though ours was mounted higher than the Rivian bed bar setup. And once setup, you’re not moving the vehicle. Plus it adds weight and probably drag even when you’re not using it, unless you remove it and store it when not using it. but many folks like them … just consider the pro’s and con’s. Given the R1T bed is short, it may be the best option for off-the-ground sleeping.

I was interested before learning how much it weighed (iirc ~120lbs). Given it's size and weight, I doubt I could mount it alone, and I don't have a garage for some mounting/pulley setup, so I probably won't get it. I was thinking I'd look into lighter options once I had the truck or something else entirely (e.g. in-bed tent, etc.). I think I'll still buy the crossbars with the vehicle though.

For the kitchen, I'm pretty sold on that since it seems decently priced ($1500 shuttle (which I might want to get regardless) + $1000 snowpeak + kitchen), is novel/fun/cool, would be difficult to get after the fact since the shuttle is built-in to the truck, and should retain some value for resale (unlike the tent where a buyer may not want a used tent).
