A bit of help - I've just bought my R1T last month and am coming from RhinoRack Vortex Aero Bars where the T-slot travels the entire fixed length bar. What is the usable T-slot space on each "half" of the Rivian Crossbar? I don't see this information in the Rivian Cargo Crossbar Guide.

I have four 1-Up trays and wonder if I will be able to get them all mounted. It appears the middle section of the crossbar, where it telescopes from, is not usable for t-slot mounting.

Bicycle anti-theft devices at best prevent ‘casual theft’ for a brief period of time.
Battery powered angle grinders defeat devices very quickly.
Theft can happen very easily even while riding your bike. For a period of time in the Bay Area, people were stopped while riding by a vehicle and their bike stolen.

Answering for myself - I think - if the unexteded length of the Rivian Crossbar is 63.8” then there is 31.9” of t-slot space on each side, minus the recommended setback of 3.5”. Once I get all of this done I’ll follow up with a report…in case anyone wants to know if four 1-Up trays fit.

That's a "standard" security torx bit, right?

Be careful, I've had those on some different accessories before, and when I didn't have a wrench, it was surprisingly easy just to jam a flathead in between two of the lobes, and even though it was a bit off-center, it still let me easily turn/loosen.

I get that anyone who is dedicated enough will get through any security measure, but someone who carries allen wrenches to a heist probably also has torx security wrenches and flatheads in their ne'er-to-do kit.
