Was just reading through the R1T Owners manual and there are warnings for High Voltage and electrocution Hazard if trying to do your own repairs on some components.

A friend asked what happens if the Truck gets into deep water, or goes off the highway into a body of water.

I would assume the High Voltage components are are sealed and waterproof in those instances.

What have you heard?

Edit:

I guess they should add the caveat to the manual to not perform self repairs while the vehicle is in 3 feet of water.

If you drop an R1T into deep enough water... it will float like a boat (for a bit... I won't be willing to test it), which is why they tell you to stop at 3 feet of water... the vehicle will start to float and lose traction.

Soooo... you should be fine.
