The OEM Rivian Wipers are made by Mitsuba and you can replace just the rubber inserts. They are 10mm wide. I got these, the passenger side is an inch longer but still works fine. They come deformed from shipping and had to soak them in hot water to get them straight. Overall way cheaper than replacing the entire wiper blade.

Thanks for finding this. Seems to be a good alternative solution. The beam part of the blade should be good through several pairs of inserts - cheaper and less waste.

Long gone are the days when one could go into AutoZone and buy just the rubber inserts. I miss that to some extent, but I certainly don’t miss trying to install the old style rubber insert with the two metal strips on either side, running it down through all of the brackets

Mine have worked well. I haven't had to use them often (southern Arizona), but after ten months of ownership, they are still working well (we had several rainy days recently). I bought a pair from Amazon, recently, to have on hand, but the original blades are still fine.
come on...you're in southern arizona....have you even used the wipers more than 10 times in 10 mos.......some of us have to use them nearly daily!

Is it just me being dumb and missed this? How long have they been selling blades on their site?

Not such a bad price. I paid more than that for the PIAA SI-TECH silicone blades on Amazon (recommended by other Rivian owners). I haven't had to install them, yet, since the original blades still work fine.

No, you're right - there haven't been 10 rainy days in the ten plus months I've owned it. But the sun can be hard on wiper blades. And they still work as well, I'd say, as they did initially... I think better than whatever wiper blades I've purchased from Costco or other stores for my previous vehicles. Maybe regular use on windows with frost or snow would tear them up. Or maybe running them an hour or more per day would wear them out faster than other wipers.

Mine only leave one streak.....but it is right in the middle of my vision. I bought a set of Michelin blades at Costco a while back. Haven't installed them yet. I have tried Bosch Icons, RainX and others on past vehicles. They all seem to last about the same if you take care of them.

went to discount tires to have my tires rotated and they said my wipers need to be replaced (16 months and 22k miles). They changed it out for us $45 dollars using Trico Force Max brand.

A minor upsell for sake of revenue for them, and convenience for you. The Trico blades are $15~18 each at retail. $45 installed isn't too bad.

I got these and they even had it sized for the R1S.

https://kimblade.com/main

Probably over-engineering at its best, but they had them in yellow to match my S so jumped on it when it was on Kickstarter.

Looks pretty cool. Do you have photos? What size and connection option did you choose?

Have not received yet was supposedly shipped out from (guessing China) last month. I'll upload picture to forum once I have them installed as probably close to time to replace the blades.

Kudos to @suprteck for the tip about the wiper blade inserts. Definitely worth a try.

Along the same lines, there was a thread back in October with some testing data on the OEM and replacement cabin air filters. The performance of the OEM (Mann) filter was not great, due primarily to poor gasket sealing. The testing was done by an individual whose company is called EveryAmp, as both a PSA and advertisement for their replacement filter, which apparently performed quite well. I think the price of the EveryAmp is $18, quite a bit less than the Rivian filter, and with apparently better performance. The testing sure looks legit, and quite a few forum members report good success with it. I've only got six months and 4,000 or so miles on my R1T, but plan to give the EveryAmp a try when it's time to replace the cabin filter.

With respect to washer fluid, there was some chatter about only using the General Chemistry OEM variety. Is there a valid reason not to use any good quality (or perhaps even garden variety) washer fluid? BTW, the thread in this forum on washer fluid mentioned that your local Rivian SC will top up your vehicle gratis if you swing by. Any truth to that? We just had the first ever Rivian SC in PA open two weeks ago in Malvern, only 15 miles away and that would be a good excuse for a visit.
