Yes. I just called it "terrain" in the earlier posts. Projections are based on either the realized average or the car's rated Wh/mi which are calculated assuming regen is on.@ajdelange Does the Tesla built in navigation also try to include elevation change and regenerative braking in it's calculations?
I guess I should add that this is all as I understand it. There is no section in the manual where they tell you exactly what they are doing. My understanding is based on my observations and those of others. And also I am guessing that Rivian will do something equally or more sophisticated. I do not know.
