Rivian has been actively posting information in their Rivian Canada FB page over the last few weeks.
They had some posts back in November 2019, and then all of a sudden, a whole bunch of posts and pictures have started popping up this month.

Wonder if this is a sign that they are starting to get ready to officially start launches/deliveries s00n !
Maybe first mile events !

There is nothing new or specific to Canada, but the fact that they are being active on this page, seems like a positive.

Yeah I don't know why I thought so. I had hoped it would be an official Rivian Canada FB page that they created to address Canadian content. But it's way too generic to be an official page.

Most likely an internal car. Don't think Rivian have been certified yet in Canada, that is supposed to happen by Feburary.

I don't think you can get a plate for a vehicle that isn't certified/legal to drive in the country. Maybe Rivian is ahead of schedule here. ?

The province can issue a plate for whatever they want. The thing has a VIN after all. And manufacture’s plates are a thing, although this is a regular one.

I was driving down the 99 from Whistler to Vancouver and I saw a LE R1T driving north to Whistler. I almost turned around and tracked it down but didn't have a chance on that windy road. Plus it would have outrun me guaranteed. I didn't get a chance to see if it had a BC plate on it and was so happy to see one again after the Seattle event back in 2019. They are out there!

Not a temp plate, the California temp plates are paper, that is the standard California plate.

Wasn’t sure, since I noticed the new temp plates have the “California“ script at the top in the same font as permanent plates Vs more generic font before. At a glance they look a lot like standard plates, especially in a license plate frame.

last time we were in CA we saw Lots of plates starting with B, then realized they were just temp ones ?
