Someone hit my 21" wheel the other day and scraped up a few of the unpainted areas. The Rivian wheel's unpainted spots are CNC machined to a cool looking finish, but my local wheel shop can't repair them completely: their plan would be to repair the damage and then cover the CNC repaired spots with aluminum paint. This obviously won't look as good because the fine machined lines will be obliterated.
Is this the best anyone can do? Has anyone had experience with this type of CNC wheel repair?
Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
