I love the way it looks despite myself, but it's a hard no given the huge weight add and irreversible install.

Everything works perfectly and yes it was grey before. Starwood customs did this work and has done multiple vehicles for me over the years. Starwood custom paint system is one of the best in the market look them up. Lots of attention as you all have had before with driving the RT1 now just a bit more with more questions. Yes it does go off road and does great hunting. Sorry if my truck scratches your knees.. get a bandaid & suck it up.
This is yours? Love it

Care to share more details or more photos? Does it hold up to everything? Door dings? Automatic hood still opens fine? What was your initial motivation to get this on your first vehicle? Do you wash it? Just power wash?

just power wash and move on. Yes no more rock chipping paint or door dings scratches. We have a sprinter with same and it’s a tank & can go anywhere and a Toyota Landcruiser truck same takes the abuse well.

How much of the Rivian body is aluminum? Hood? Tailgate?
My understanding is all exterior panels are aluminum. I don't have a source to quote so I could be 100% wrong, but pretty much every modern vehicle now has aluminum panels to save weight so I'd be shocked if they used anything else.

Looks very cool, makes me want to see airflow study versus gloss. does the surface create turbulence or slippery buffer ? someone should put it in a wind tunnel. Hats of to the artist that did it.

I personally like very much
And concern about weight for a 7200 lb vehicle is silly

I dig it. Did my hayabusa in something similar, years ago, and it was almost universally liked. Didn't really care as I liked it, but it killed in Daytona.

If I had a house in the 4X4 section of the Outter Banks I would do this, strip out the interior, vinyl up the seats and I want to say, fiberglass the entire underbody of the truck to protect from salt.

Honestly it'd probably be an R1S too. Trucks are great but the true, "I live on a beach" beast are truck-like SUVs such as the 4Runner.

Regardless, this mod isn't as boy-racerish as it seems. If you're truly going to live in an extreme environment there's a definite durability and "fuck it" factor to utility with a bedliner body.
