Question somewhat related - can the T@B 400 be plugged in to the Rivian outlet for shore power and drive the AC or is that too much for the Rivian?

On my last tab400, I installed a soft start on the ac unit and ran it with an 1800 watt generator. I think the r1t is rated at 1500. I bet it would work. But can’t be terribly sure. It would be a good test.

I just completed a 150 mile trip with my new R1T , towing a 23 foot airstream trailer( 6,000 lbs). I am happy to report that I made it on one charge. Next week I am on a trip going for Vancouver to southern on a 2 week camping trip. Will report on the range and issues with that type of trip.

Next time I will proof read before I hit send. Trip is from Vancouver to southern Alberta and back through the USA.

Appreciate your posts. Just an FYI, you can edit posts. On mobile at least it's the three dots to the right of "report" at the bottom of your post.

We want to hear about your EA charger pain...
I’d like to know about the nucamp
We are considering a 320 and assume to 400 is the bigger brother.
So the height probably does make a big difference as we thought. It would be interesting to see a tab320 or a tagX and see if we could get 1.6...
just checked
The 400 is around 2700 and 320 about 1800lb
If and when we get one we will report

I considered both. Vetoed the 320 after looking at it because it's not tall enough to stand up in. The 400 is nice and tall enough, but I ended up finding a nice Intech Sol Horizon which is slightly larger and has a nice big wet bath. It's 19', a little taller and a little bit less aerodynamic, and weighs about 3400 unloaded so I'm quite curious how it'll compare in efficiency to the Tab 400 towing when I get my Rivian. I have a feeling it'll be close but very slightly worse. I do like it a lot, don't regret the choice.

The 320 we are considering 2018 has indoor galley but no indoor toilet nor shower.
I told the dealer that’s gonna be a tough sell - likeky why their eBay trial didn’t even get half the reserve it
While men’s rooms are anywhere and everywhere…….

Not doable with a 320 at 60+mph.

We get about 1.1 to 1.3 at 70mph.

Below are shots from a nearly 800mi round trip with our T@B 320s Boondock.
70% interstate at 67-71mph indicated, with a slight tail wind on the outbound, and headwind on the return.
30% on state highway at 62-65 indicated.
70mph with ~5-8mph headwind was getting us ~1.1mi/kwh
70mph with ~ 5mph tailwind was ~1.3mi/kwh

Based on wind, it's a solid 20% hit for going 10mph faster.

Around town we get about 1.7-1.9mi/kWh with the camper.

Just brought my 400 home (Pennsylvania to NY) and was averaging around 1.4 m/kWh, I was doing the flow of traffic, up to 80 mph on stretches of 78 and around 60-65 on 95, slowed to a crawl through NYC and then 65 again on 495.

the R1T handled it like a champ. I couldn’t tell I was pulling anything at acceleration or deceleration.

I will be towing this 1948 curtis wright clipper when I get my R1T, only weights 2100 pounds, 22' and very aerodynamic, hoping it will only be a 30% hit, when towing with my BMW X5 diesel it was only a 20% hit
