It's definitely one of those things you don't think about until you have a situation like OP. Heck, my i4 hatch hit the top of the garage and got scratched.....but it has a height adjustment.
I skipped a few pages but I'm one of the ES on 20's that has yet to receive a VIN. I ordered 6/16. As an experiment, I reached out to express willingness to switch colors if that sped anything up but no response- I didn't expect them to agree to that but an acknowledgment would've been nice...
Agreed but I do find value in the posts where people share what they are moving from and the difference in cost. That paints a clearer picture for me in terms of what to expect.
I made the mistake of saying the same about the acceleration on Reddit (where common sense is not so common and groupthink prevails). I said I know it IS faster than my base i4 but felt slower and I was inundated with stats.... I'm guessing it's a combo of weight, throttle mapping, center of...
I'll be following as nothing sways my opinions more than a cabal of strangers on the internet- sad, but actually, true.
To be clear, from a purely financial perspective, this lease makes almost zero sense unless the value of a used R2 drops like rocks. In my case, I'll still go with it as I...
BMW, among most mainstream auto brands, has been, arguably, the most successful in the EV space. The OG i3 well preceded Rivian and Tesla. I've had many BMWs and, putting my "fanboy-dom" aside, they drive fantastic, have decent software, and the NK ranges and charging speeds are pretty...
I'm just back from my second test drive. I still really like the R2. It's a great all-around vehicle and, if I truly needed a new car right now, I'd pull the trigger. I have zero complaints other than I really wanted to lease and I can't, no matter what kind of math and "logic" I apply make it...
I think it's fairly normal but I grew up with brothers so I'm far from an expert. Too bad my R2 won't have CarPlay to escape and listen to an audiobook while it's happening
As a husband and father of a teen girl, this thread is like watching them have a discussion that start with the "need" for more expensive athleisure wear, pivots to what's for dinner, then who last wore whose clothes- all involving a rapid oscillation between laughter, tears, and yelling. Doors...
Thanks! Not your fault I'm neurotic. The i4 is fantastic in every way but my wants are the same as yours- how can I turn down an opportunity to be one of the first to own such a hot car as the R2 and I miss the ruggedness and camping with my old Wranglers and Bronco!
This is the biggest piece for me. I was a beta for the Wrangler 4Xe and that went about as expected- FML for that 2 years. My hope is that Rivian learned a ton from the early adopters of the R1 platform- appreciate your service toward the cause!
