our main takeaway from this video is the safety glasses! Wow we are a distractible bunch.
Literally my first thought was same as @whyasky; Is this to correct tonneau cover misalignment. Now I think it is more likely the damaged demo car @stynes mentioned.

They are replacing the rear crossmember of the chassis, which has little to do with the tonneau directly. There is very obviously someone from RivIan there, and some sort of tie-in with Celette.
