Wow, 2 things for many of us to be excited about - 1) ADV package and 2) no underbody shield. Perhaps this is a sign of things to come, but even if it is, until they make OC R1S I will be stuck singing the blues.

Congrats! Nice config choice. I would imagine if you're in the queue now it will be a launch edition. Rather than wishing that was me, I'll just be happy for you, maybe the positive energy will lead to a "confirm config" email for me. Enjoy the process and please keep us posted
Thanks, sending some more positive vibes your way!!

Man, I hope for the best for you, but I have to be a possible burster of bubbles. I received that same email from Rivian, and another from my Guide on August 23. I still don't have a build date, or even a delivery estimate.

I am R1S Launch Edition, Compass Yellow, Black Mountain, 20", no underbody with a July 2020 Pre-order.

You may luck out with Glacier White. Apparently, nobody want Compass Yellow so they aren't building any.

My Guide said he could have got me an orphaned Forest Green or Rivian Blue, but THE LORAX must live on!!!

Congratulations!!!

Now here comes the flood of config changes from FE and OC to BM for those of us with ADV S orders!

It seems like they have a ton of BM interiors and are just cranking them out.

Rivian R1S
Okay- I'm cautiously optimistic, but just might be receiving my R1S Adventure soon. Part of of me thinks it might be a mistake, but if not, all signs are pointing in the right directions.

I originally had an R1T on order and switched back and forth from the T to S a couple times (okay a lot). I had access to the R1 shop (T's) and almost pulled the trigger a few times. We decided the S is what the family needs, so I left it at that. Last month I sent an email to Rivian asking a question, and i got a reply from a Guide. Didnt think anything of it, and then one day recently I decided to ask my guide, if they were my guide. She replied yes, and apologized, because I should have gotten an intro email (I didnt). So we were chatting and she
said my deliver should be soon, " You are already in the selected fulfillment stage, which means you will likely be pulled soon. " Okay, getting excited...asked again, possibly this year? She replied : "Your delivery timeline is set for November-December of 2022, so I'm rooting for it before the end of the year! :)"

More excitement.. the next day (17th), received an email titled: "A Seamless Process to Purchase Your Rivian"
When i go into my account, I cant make any changes, says to contact my guide. Still showing my R1S on the screen and everything looks good.
Today's email : " Prepare for the Digital Purchasing Process"

All is good over here, and im thinking maybe this is really happening soon, and there are R1S's ADV packages coming this year....trying to contain my excitement.

I started looking on the forum and saw how to go into the dev code and see what my status is.

Is it okay to get excited? I should be getting an 8 step email soon, right?
You're probably less than 3 weeks from having it in your driveway. Once the process unlocks look and see if you have a VIN number. If you have one that means your baby is already sitting there waiting for you either at the factory, on a train or at the service center. Good luck! :)

If Rivian is building by demand, which I doubt, then apparently no one wants a R1S in yellow or silver, and only a few want it in Red, Blue and Forest Green....but lots want it in El Crap, Launch Green, and Glacier White-Trash.
And if they are building by demand, R1T owners want all the colors...its just hte R1S people that are like this
I don't think I could put together a configuration that would put me much further back. From not choosing a LE because the R1S max pack would be coming, to choosing OC which is the last interior to be released, to not choosing an underbody shield and finally wanting an R1S in Silver, I may as well have put my reservation yesterday in terms of a place in line.

I have the identical Adventure config for an R1S in the NY area close enough to the Brooklyn service center and predate this reservation by a few months so I do have questions.

Rivian is like really bad at this.

The magic email you're looking for is the one with this subject : It’s time to begin the purchase process.

Once I received that email, I logged in and had a VIN assigned with 8 step process open.

What is your config? Interior color is particularly important these days, it seems.

Would also be interested in what your guide says about Tony Caravano's Reddit AMA, in which he said that Adventure deliveries would start next year.

Also, congrats! Even if it may make us LE holders grumble...
I spoke to my guide yesterday and he said that Adv trim is currently being delivered alongside LE trim.

Congrats! You should be excited and why not? It's the waiting that will keep you anxious when 4-6 weeks will pass and you won't here anything other than "your vehicle is on shipment".

You have questions? This is also my exact configuration and my order date is 01/01/2019 and I’m 1.5 hours from the Virginia SC. I’ve heard NOTHING. The CS folks have now sent me swag on two occasions, but all I want for Christmas is my R1S.

I don’t want to be a downer and I hope I’m wrong, but I’ve been at “Pending Fulfillment” for 5 months. When it changes to “Selected for Fulfillment” you are getting closer.

I’m fine with some overlap. But they have a hell of a lot of longtime LE orders waiting that should be prioritized given that we are barely a month into R1S deliveries.

Oh I'm certainly not first in line, just trying to understand the logic, but it would appear trying to understand it by some sort of ordered line is the wrong way to approach.
