R1S 2nd gen drivetrain stuck in sport mode

Just one month old R1S less than 1000 miles. So far only driven in all purpose mode, I changed the drive mode to sport for fun to see if it changes any thing. Car lowered to the lowest setting which is noticeable and the ride was firm. Wanted to change it back to all purpose but the options disappeared. Can’t change anything! Talked to customer service and they have no idea. Did all the resets including sleep cycle, screen and hard reset x2. Same problem!!
Did anyone heard of this issue?

@HammerFLA sounds like your frunk removal is incidental, and there's a more common perma-sport mode issue.

Then you are the second person to get access to sport mode your truck isn't supposed to have. I guess this latest update has a bug in it.

I had the same problem with my 800 mile new r1t dual max on Saturday, only it went into conserve mode(dual max does not have a conserve mode button) except mine did one day and my son saw it and said what was does this button do and pressed it. Now it’s stuck in conserve mode. It thinks it is a tri motor. Only unfortunately I don’t have sport mode, or launch just conserve. 2 hours at service center on Saturday and they could not figure it out. They said they have never seen a dual max act like a tri max before. I have to bring it back on Friday for more extensive testing. Saturday service is very limited. (St.louis) although they did get me in right away when I just showed up with no appointment, so thankful for that.

Sounds like a bug since you aren’t supposed to have a sport option if you did not opt for the performance software. Service center will likely have to roll the software back back for you… or you can convince them to unlock free sport mode for your troubles.

I have to take it back this Friday for more troubleshooting. No loaner was available, so since truck drives fine ( just stuck in front wheel drive(conserve)) I took it back home since I’m 20 minutes away from service center.

Got it. I asked the customer service guy if the truck is safe to drive? He could not answer because on their end it is showing as a drivetrain issue. But I have driven around 50 miles on it before reporting it with no problems.

Following this because I have been away from my Gen2 Dual R1T and get home tonight, only drove it with newest software for a day or so before heading out of town and wondering if I’ll come back to this.

I got a 2025, 300 miles, dual motor, NOT performance. but yesterday Sport mode showed up, so I selected it. now y screen looks like yours. no options to select any other mode. BUT wow is it fast! I'll wait till you get a resolution, I don't mind being stuck in this fun mode!

Spoke to a technician and he said it should be ok to drive in sport mode. Hope nothing breaks doing something I am not eligible for ?
