I have a video coming tomorrow on Gen2 PDM Max. A bit of a spoiler. I cam away impressed with the PDM and felt it was pretty close to quad when pulling 0-60. Its rated at 3.4 second 0-60. If you have a quad with 21" or 20" your 0-60 is probably more like 3.2 anyway. Yes, I did notice slightly less power but the dual motor felt slightly more refined to me and very close in power on the low end.
If I were buying now, with the current options, I would go with a PDM or if I was planning to add a lot of options like PTC, Dynamic Roof, and Premium Audio I would go with a Tri.
I love my Gen1 Quad...but PDM provides a tremendous value and balance of performance and efficiency for R1.
A little preview ?
