Someone posted that they were told extra fobs were available for $250. No idea about the process.

Yes, call the support number, they can setup an appointment for you to get one added. Requires service to do it, I had to go to a service center but they can do it with mobile support as well. My total in CA was $248.57.

Yes. You would definitely have to do it through a SC (though if it's like my replacement keycards, they have the option to mail them to you). They do have to program the keys, fobs, etc., so there is a service fee in addition to the cost of the fob, itself.

Thank you for the responses. We are taking factory delivery of our R1T next Wednesday. If we decide we want one, we will try to get it then.

You may find that it's not essential. My wife and I primarily use our iPhones as keys with the RF cards as backup (for valet). My wife used the wristband the first week she had the car but hasn't used it since. We never use the fob. My wife likes the functionality of the app and warms/cools the car remotely as needed before she gets going in the morning.

That's probably how we will work it out. Thanks for the information.

I have one on order for about 3 weeks. It is supposed to come in the week. Unknown if they will mail it, I have to go to the SC, or if they will come out with it.

Price is accurate.

We wanted it because while I like the phone as a key for preheating and cooling, it's a lot of button pushes for unlocking or opening the gate or hood. The range on the fob.my.wife has seems a lot further and responsive compared to the Bluetooth if the phone and the internet delay of the phone. I also want to be able to give a easy to use key fob to one of my kids without having to give up my phone to them when they need to run to the car somewhere.

I love all the kays (cards, fobs, phone, bracelet) just wish they had two fobs so we treated ourselves to one

Did you get the 2nd key fob and now both work for you?

I just asked for a 2nd one and my guide told told me that only 1 can work.

The FOB functionality is pretty disappointing, so I would start with just the one that is included and give it a little time to determine if you really want to buy a second.

The reason I'm asking is my wife also drives the R1T and we both prefer the fob to the cards or the app. So it would be better to have 2 fobs, one assigned to each of us with our different setting .

I understand. But the FOB experience is poor so I do suggest you TRY the phone app, first. It isn't perfect, but it is better than the FOB.

Call the service department, they will order one for you and schedule an appointment to have it configured. I purchased a second one and they both work fine.

Yes you can have two and they both work. As mentioned it is similar to the phone though with range. It's not like a normal car fob that works 100ft away and it is delayed if the car is asleep
