Portable charging failure

Got the red light last week on the portable charger. Upon inspection the 50a plug had corroded and the pins ripped out, see pic. A fair amount of water also came out when I pulled the 50a plug out of the unit(which I haven’t done in months). I learned the to take the plug out of the unit and dry if it gets rained on.

Rivian sent me a replacement right away.

I learned early on that one of the probable causes of the red light on the portable charger was that plug not making contact for whatever reason.

You may want to consider some silicone grease around the seal. I think I'll do that after seeing this.
