Has anyone had success in pairing new TPMS sensors to their R1T? I installed 4 brand new TPMS sensors with same part numbers as OEM. Just driving will not pair them. Wondering if they need to be activated or paired in any special way.

Bump! Rivian is not being helpful about buying OE TPMS from the service center without also incurring a ~$400 labor charge.

If I buy these which are the OE TPMS used (branded Mercedes instead of Rivian) can I bring to Discount Tire and have them install with no issue?

Thanks!

I don't know if those will work or not.

Although I bought my sensors thru a different source these https://www.amazon.com/Main-Resource-17-43042-Sensor-Clamp/dp/B07BSR35XJ are the same, and they work in my R1S.

Discount Tire installed them in my new wheels when they swapped my tires. I already had programmed them myself, but I would think they can program them if necessary.

Dumb question but was there something wrong with your original TMPS sensors? My old truck had 'em, lasted 10 years before they started failing.

You're right though, this is information which should be readily available in a service manual.

I bought these from Amazon (https://a.co/d/a5k6j1Q), then had the tire shop install them last week in my aftermarket wheels and tires. The sensors are essentially what people are calling OEM spec and my R1S started automatically reading all 4 of them after about 20 miles driving. Still working and reading just fine a week later.

Thanks to @dp351 for the info and assist!

I'm assuming your shop cloned your OEM before install?
