From Early October, forgot to post here.

So ended up finally have time to do my own paint correction and Ceramic Application. GW is a interesting beast as its very hard to find/see swirls but also you need a massive amount of light to see imperfections. I counted probably 6 small pieces of contaminants in the clear that would require some wet sanding.

Needless to say while I can do it, I won't be doing it, I just went with a ultra conservative with a fine pad and fine polish and got about 80% of imperfections maybe more but its so hard to tell I doubt anyone can see besides my self with a LOT of light.

Started off with a proper wash/coffee

For those that did their own ceramic coatings, how much product did you use for coating your truck/SUV? I got my PPF done already but am going to DIY the ceramic part since I already have the skills and tools to do it.

Bump!
@DuckTruck , others in PDX, recommendations for PPF installation in town?
Waiting on bid from Prestige in MultVill.
Never had a car that I even bothered to wash regularly so this is all new to me…

I was in the same boat as you. I used to wash my cars twice a year, whether they needed it or not. Based on the recommendations of a couple of finnicky friends with Porsches, I went with Adrian at Northwest Protective Films, just off Cornelius Pass Rd., south of US26 in Hillsboro. I couldn't happier with how my R1T turned out in Xpel Stealth. You can reach him at 971-294-1569.

He's very thorough and methodical, a bit of a perfectionist. I mean all of that as a compliment. These qualities are especially welcomed when dealing with the tucking necessary with matted finishes, like the Stealth. Whether using Stealth or Gloss, he removes the mirrors and covers their footprints to prevent the cutarounds that would otherwise be needed. He's also a one-man shop, so there's no guessing as to who is performing the work. Adrian's into double digits in the way of R1T's and has now wrapped an R1S or two. I highly recommend giving him a call.

Thanks DT!
Looked at them and then ended up booking with Prestige In Multnomah Village for full wrap, clear. They do have kits for partial wrap on rocker panels but we decided to go full enchilada. Hold off on the “AZ Pinstripes” for a few years…
They’ve done a few Ts already and seem to be well reviewed. Seriously can’t believe we’ll pick up the truck and go another week before getting it hom but I think it’s the right choice…

Hey everyone! Just thought I would introduce myself as a new owner. I decided to wrap my R1T with 3M Matte Brown Metallic and then protected it with a ceramic coating over the top. PUREBLIND Wraps & Graphics in Denver did an excellent job! Let me know what you think?
