I think anywhere chargers exist should have bathrooms available just like at gas stations.

You don't have a full bath in that thing?
Sink yes, Shower yes, bathtub yes (technically), toilet no (not unless a 32oz Gatorade bottle and a shovel counts)

While the companies would seem like a good match I do not think that they are the right locations for improving our adventure experiences.

As a Seattle resident I would like to see RAN fast chargers in the following locations:
Bellingham
Mt Vernon/Sedro-Woolley
Newhalem
Mazama
Winthrop
Pateros
Sultan
Stevens Pass
Leavenworth
Snoqualmie Pass
Cle Elem
Enumclaw
Yakima

To name a few. Not asking much, am I?

But - if it wasn’t for owning a Rivian, I wouldn’t choose that route for my normal jaunt into the Sierras, because I’m usually taking 88. Rivian - please put another RAN in Stockton. Pretty please.
I doubt they'll put a RAN station in Stockton since they already put one in Manteca.

oh yeah, I know. But I really want one in Stockton anyway. This isn’t about reality, it’s about my irrational desire to have RANs in esoteric places. lol

What about Jackson, instead? That might actually make some sense.

Well...as someone who last weekend did the loop from Mercer Island, to Leavenworth, to Mazama, and back through Newhalem...the charging in Cle Elum isn't too bad - there's a public EV station literally next to a Tesla setup with maybe 8 chargers (and next to a coffee shop with bathroom) so I think Cle Elum will be covered once the Tesla partnership plays out. Snoqualmie Pass - there is a public station there but it's slow - I agree that would be a good location. The biggest opportunity is a RAN somewhere in the Twisp/Winthrop/Mazama area - Mazama would be the most "on-brand" I think - and I'm pretty sure the Country Store would go along with it. Twisp would probably be easier to get built than Winthrop.

FWIW there is a station at Inn at Mazama for the Inn and their rentals. I used a 50' cord and a dryer plug adapter to charge at the cabin we rented (I had to drop the 34A down below 30A every time I plugged in though).

I agree that this would be great for REI (bad for my REI budget!).

I was initially all excited because RAN is coming soon to Christiana Mall in Delaware, where there's also an REI, but it sounds like the station is closer to Nordstroms/Cabelas and almost a 20 minute walk to/from REI ?.

As far as the RAN planners are concerned, we can all just move to Michigan.

I charged (away from home) for my first time ever at the REI RAN in Sacramento on the way back from camping last weekend. Superfast 200Kw. Free. Lots of other families talking about their weekend adventures. Clean bathrooms and good snacks for the kids. I hit up the Labor Day sale at REI while it charged and was on my way. +1 for this partnership as I’m always looking for a reason for an REI pit-stop. Bonus: I talked to the president of the Rivian club who was charging his red R1T beside me. He gave me a sticker. Now I’m official.

I know a lot of people love REI. Why not love a place where you can get you favorite Patagonia jacket. :) Unfortunately, for me, here in CA REI supports the Sierra Club and the Sierra Club's agenda is all about preventing motor vehicle travel in the forest. The Sierra Club has gone after a number of popular offroad trails trying to close them down. They have been successful in many instances. Unfortunately, for us Rivian owners, this means that our Adventure branded trucks and SUV's that are offroad capable are not welcome on the trails according to the Sierra Club. Given REI pumps a lot of funding into the Sierra Club I would prefer that Rivian NOT install RAN chargers at REI stores. But that is just me and the choice I'm making.

I just did a route plan to the Sacramento RAN charger, and a note on the on the truck display screen said it was closed until Sunday. Anyone know what is going on? Can I count on it tomorrow, or is it really closed?

And more on the way up to cabin country in northern Minnesota. I'd love for Rivian to put their originally planned RAN in Cook, MN. I go up to Vermilion every year and charging up there can be a challenge to say the least.

They show open according to the app, but I would trust what the truck says and re-route. There’s an EA near there, and if you are taking 50 into the mountains, the Tesla SC is in Placerville and has Magic Dock.

FYI I used the Manteca chargers yesterday, and when I plugged in, it capped me at around 98kw and I noticed it de-rated everyone else to 98. I unplugged, and everyone else jumped back up. Went to another station, and all worked fine.
