I confirmed my performance max pack an hour ago. I tow, I carry things on top, I carry bikes over the tailgate, I take these things to a charging desert, and I do these things things year-round. Rivian R1T tailgate pad installed review: it's a winner (with a caveat)
Seriously though, am I the only person who has witnessed plenty of folks just throwing their bike over a moving pad or carpet remnant on the tailgate and calling it good? The Velcro failed on 4 of 6 of my current Yakima pad ages ago and I donāt have any qualms about my carbon framed MTB or fat... -

Aug/Sep 23 moved to Sep/Oct 23. Max pack performance, 2/19 reservation. They can make me a max pack or I wait for the Silverado EV. Simple. I would suggest the ālack of demandā for the max pack is artificial and due to the lack of availability. Iām just back from a 540 mile round trip adventure...- Wentworth

Trip Report: 1900+ mile trip towing our Airstream Basecamp 20x with R1T
Wonderful info and write up, thanks for sharing. The Cd of a trailer alone isnāt truly useful without being hooked up to a specific tow vehicle. The airflow behind a truck, SUV, or wagon will hit the trailer differently. A semi truck could completely block the wind. And whoever said itās all...- Wentworth
