Pictures are worth a thousand words… But the way the nav systems seems to try and anticipate where you will be vs where you are, then refuse to correct itself is annoying at best.

I’ve also seen it try to route along a creek frontage service road behind my neighborhood that is not accessible to the public.

I mean I already trust my Navigation. Especially when I go to Tahoe in the middle of a snow storm like many other west-coasters. No chains needed, it’s only 4ft of snow!

Probably saw you on Yamato eastbound headed toward i95 last week. First one I ever saw in the wild . They are pretty rare down here. R1S are more common.

At least it gets you where you want to go, even if you goto the moon first!

The picture I showed is a fairly common occurrence I’ve seen with the latest software. In that example, directions suddenly disembody from the current vehicle position, providing irrelevant directions and turn dialogs. If someone isn’t a local and trying to rely on navigation, it could result in confusion, or worse, an accident.

I've had mine do crazy things with bridges in Seattle area. But our bridges are crazy. So it's a wash.

LOL I wish it was smart enough to know the bridge schedule. This was at 6:15. Bridge was down. Even if it was up, a 5 minute wait would have been definitely faster than a 20 minute detour with the risk of hitting a bridge going back west and another heading back east. Maybe there is an "Adventure" setting enabled on the maps which creates all these crazy routes. ?

Um.... Any solutions? Use a phone instead? I get my R1T in a couple of weeks, and have NO sense of direction. That has even been independently verified by DNA through 23&Me. It's really bad.
