21" tire performance at 6 months and 5k miles. Overall super happy with first 6 months of tire performance. Tread pattern wear (picture of data attached) shows how you can rotate tires for longevity. Right front has the most wear at 16% on shoulders but only 8% on middle blocks. Left front 8% wear across blocks. Rear tires have 12% wear on middle blocks & no wear on shoulder blocks. The tires start with 10/32 on middle blocks & 8/32 on shoulders. I assume replacement at 2/32. I have had Pirelli OE tires on previous vehicles and when new they had phenomenal performance but after a couple of years the grip wasn't as good. Thinking I can get 4 years and 40k miles out of these tires on a five tire rotation. Five tires because of spare. Also recommend if you are ordering a Rivian, get a spare! It's super easy to rotate five tire vs four. Plus cheap insurance if you ever have a tire issue and I've had them in the past on other vehicles.

I just passed 6 months and I'm approaching 5K on my R1T. You've inspired me to take similar measurements when I rotate mine in a few weeks (I'm a sucker for data). Just out of curiosity, what driving mode do you typically use and how would you describe your driving style? Thanks for sharing!

Is that showing slight over inflation, where you could go down maybe 2-3 PSI? Or, is it perfect inflation with extra wear on the sides because of added force applied when turning? They look pretty good overall. We have the 22's and probably don't expect 40k miles out of them... but we are only 1200 miles so far.

This is great. How would you describe your driving? Fast in straights/ corners or laid-back? Any conserve mode usage?

That’s really is a great question CrazyOne. Does the truck/Rivian keep stats of what mode it’s in, and for how long? If so, does anyone generally run in Conserve mode (90%) of the time, and what is the tire where front / rear? Would be interesting to know how bad the front wheel only is on the soles.

You did not mention your tire pressure. This is a key metric.

" Also recommend if you are ordering a Rivian, get a spare! "

Are you taunting us?
RJ Scaringe, where's the spare tire I ordered?

Haven't touched tire pressure in 6 months of ownership. Still displays ~48 PSI. Usually run in all purpose mode. Occasionally put in sport mode for hard launches.

Just rotated the 21's on my R1T at 6K and took these measurements. I didn't measure the shoulders and just did the 4 main grooves.

Spare (new)9.510109.5
RR8.5998.5
FR88.58.58
RL8.5998.5
FL88.58.58

They look nice and even left to right and side to side, but my fronts seem to wear a tad faster than the rears. I'm getting 1/32 of wear in the back and 1.5/32 in the front. I also keep them inflated at 48PSI (they haven't changed). I spend 90% of time in all-purpose but most of the miles are around town with limited highway stretches, which is probably contributing to the additional wear in the front. Looking like 40-45K for me as well, assuming the wear rate doesn't change.
