MTB Tailgate pads - again

So I can say with certainty that the Fox Overland does not fit the Rivian. The curve is too much for the medium (which seems like it was designed for a ‘96 Tacoma). And of course the large is way too long.

Has anyone tried the Dakine Pickup Pad DLX Curve (small) for their truck, and are you satisfied with the fit?

Someone here might have, I actually thought I saw a Rivian with one but it may have been a post here. I opted for the Raceface and it’s worked out well.

I have used the Yakima tailgate pad and it seems to work ok. I think mine is a size medium and I used it on my Tacoma a lot. That said, I'm swapping to a hitch rack for the Rivian.

I'd love to know more about this as I was looking at the DLX as well.

What's the consensus on the top tailgate pad these days for the Rivian?

I started with a 2 bike pad and went for the full one. I'm using the medium Raceface T2. The R1T's fat tailgate is a pain but it works. Most of the reason I upgraded from the 2 bike version was to protect the tailgate. The truck is high enough and the gate fat enough that getting 2 on the smaller pad can be a little awkward. It is possible but I like to load up my bikes in the garage and there isn't much space.
