I recently noticed that some time shortly after receiving the latest 2023.46.0 OTA update that the voice guidance stopped working on my R1S (the voice that speaks when providing turn by turn directions). I recall that it was working after the update because I was testing the new add a route feature and heard the voice. But now, no matter what (I.e.changing the voice volume, toggling on/off mute for the map), there is no more voice.

Has anyone else noticed this problem in the 2023.46.0 update?

Speaker button on right side of the map should work, if not then you probably have the volume turned all the way down on it.

This has happened to me too after this update. If I put chimes on, it makes the sound, but voice does nothing. It’s not a volume or mute thing, it just doesn’t have voice commands. I haven’t tried a reset yet though.

I'm happy to report that after performing the Infotainment reset, the navigation voice has returned.

Interestingly, this also seemed to have fixed a weird Spotify issue where it was not playing the 1st track on my playlist. Selecting the 1st track would play a random track instead of the intended song.... Selecting any other tracks would play fine.

Anyway, the reset seemed to have fixed this issue too.

This also happened in our R1S. I decided to wait for the next update but perhaps will try the entertainment reset since that worked for you.

Happens all the time after updates, reset the display one or 2 times should resolve it

Problem returned a few days later. Did another Infotainment reset which again re-enabled the navigational voice.

While experiencing the issue, I noticed that Alexa did not work. from a Reddit thread, there was a discussion that Alexa may have been causing the issue and to try unregistering and re-registering would fix it.

I’m going to try this (unregistering Alexa) if/when the issue returns.
