KBB Instant cash offer and Rivian Ineligible?

Has anyone else come across this message? How to go past it?

I believe I saw a similar message from KBB when I was assessing the value of my R1T at the end of November. It looked a little different, but the message was the same. I think it pretty much means they don't want your vehicle and if you press they will make you a super-lowball offer.
KBB sucks anyway, they are always in the lowest offer range if not the lowest. Try others.

Vroom has halted all purchases and sales of used vehicles.

You don't want to use them anyway. They basically just give your info to a local dealer who will harass you for weeks with lowball offers for whatever you are trying to sell. You will do better with pretty much any of the other services... except Vroom, who went under recently.

Too bad about Vroom.. I sold my Bolt to them in Nov 2020 for the Model Y.

Looks like they stopped their car related business Jan 22 2024.

Agree with @COdogman about KBB... avoid.

I have used KBB instant offer twice now and done well both times, was inline with KBB pricing.

That's good to hear. Maybe it had more to do with the local dealers they gave my info to being very annoying...and the fact that I hate car dealers

Since there seems to be confusion here about the state of Vroom:

I got $60K trade-in from a local dealer, KBB offered $55K buyout. With the tax was about $64K so I took it. Another dealer offered $53K. Mine was a 22' with 26K miles, blue, 22" rims. The thing is I see a bunch for around $64K to 67K in Autotrader, it is just a matter of time for the ones priced higher to keep coming down.

KBB instant cash offer is not what it appears to be. Their participating dealers and like others said they probably don't want the car. A lot of dealers are afraid of EVs right now. With that said, even if you did get an offer I have heard from a number of people that it's basically a bait and switch. They give you the instant cash offer and tell you to go into the dealer to redeem it and when you get into the dealer and they inspect the vehicle they lower the offer.
