If anyone in Southern California is interested in a brand new set of crossbars (still in their box), I'd be happy to sell mine at the original $450 price.

I thought I wanted a roof top tent; I guess the wait for the RIvian tent gave me enough time to do more research and realize I don't want a RTT after all.

[Happy to ship them too, but at 28lb+ the shipping price would probably get you close to the price straight from the Gear Shop... and they ship for free]

My R1T is at the Service Center for final inspection as I write this. It's 8 months earlier than expected. It's also earlier than my wife's R1S which has a Q2 2023 delivery window. I asked the guide if we could move her pre-pricehike charger over to my order at the $500 and remove it from hers. Nope.. no chance.

It looks to me like Rivian is planning to honor old pricing "In early 2023, prices in the Gear Shop will be adjusted to match your current pricing." I would not do that if I were them. They need to start pushing prices up. This is nbd to me, just a small change to make the production and delivery process simpler and more efficient.

Little stuff like this is slowly adding to what I'm calling "Rivian frustration". Stop changing things, stop doing anything other than making vehicles and putting them in driveways. Don't even hire a web developer to make the changes, put that person out there putting parts together or moving vehicles.

Just wait, pretty soon it will be just like every other car website - oh you want to add a cup holder, sorry you HAVE to include the $4600 in options because its a "package". Oh sorry, nope, you can't have black interior because you have black exterior and we aren't paring them together any more (wait, didn't they already try that with their "ocean coast will be late" nonsense. Spare tire, NOPE sorry, that's part of a $7k package, even though you only want the $341 item. I can see it coming a mile away.

As I drive past a Masserati dealership with a R1S sitting there for sale, I think - where did you go wrong Rivian.... All the while waiting for a delivery thats 9 months away at best. Honestly WTH Rivian.

Our guide was able to add crossbars at pre-March price to our vehicle after taking delivery and we never once had them in our configuration. They should be able to grant pre-March pricing on an existing pre-March priced truck.
