Hi. I am looking to see if there is a way to reset the efficiency of the computer? As in, my R1T shows I have 330 miles of range at 100% in conserve mode. I can easily get 360+ if I drive right and have the correct outdoor conditions. I have only owned my quad large pack since May so i haven’t driven it in the cold NY winters yet.
On my wife’s Mach-e we can reset the computer so it will re-compute the efficiency and update the effective range (which works great in the winter when range goes down to under 200 miles for hers). Didn’t know if there was a way to do that on the Rivian?
Thanks so much!!!

I don’t think there’s anyway to reset efficiency. I think there’s a way to reset to factory settings though but that wouldn’t be accurate in the winter.

Power menu, on the left, where you can see efficiency for the different drive modes. I'll post pics later if you can't find it.

Cool. I found it but when I click reset history it doesn’t do anything. Or at least all the numbers didn’t change.

Once you reset history, it erases all past driving/efficiency data and defaults to factory range calculations. Moving forward, it will "learn" your ranges based on driving mode and actual achieved efficiencies. I'm not sure how the ranges are weighted with the driving data but you should see the conserve numbers start to increase in range as you drive more in that mode (if you are in fact achieving better efficiency).

Ahhh. That makes sense. Thanks. I am Glad though that so far the estimated miles have been on the conservative end. My wife’s Mach-e is the other way by a lot. Will say we have 280 miles when we really only have 250 or less.

Not sure exactly where you are located but keep in mind as we transition to winter, those ranges will take a decent decrease, up to 10-15% in peak central Indiana winter(based on my experience). Preconditioning can help counter some of that ?

How do you precondition the battery? Do you set up climate schedule?
