Saw my first one today on interstate 80 near Fairfield , CA. A blue Trailmaster edition ...not sure if it was Shale or Brittania. It looked so familiar that I didn’t realize it was a Grenadier until I noticed the stamping on the hood. It was towing a green Porsche 914. Me thinks someone has a car fetish.

Saw one in my neck of the woods today. I feel better having purchased the Rivian and cancelling my reservation on the grenadier. I'll get a used defender or land cruiser for that price when the itch needs to be scratched.

I hope the sunlight reflecting off those pristine rigs didn't burn The Count

Very sad day in God's Country today. The Count returned to the Royal Grenadier from walking the banks of a trout stream only to find an abomination adorning said vehicle. There was a small plastic duck. WTH is wrong with people.

In the contest of mileage accumulation between the Royal R1S and Royal Grenadier this winter the Grenadier won 2.5:1.

Of course it was hard to track the R1S on this as there is no easy to access odometer.

But of course most people already saw this update on The Count's Signal chat.

Just a note from God's Country. Many of you already read about this on major media outlets but yesterday at 7:03 am The Count paid $4.79 a gallon for 93 octane for filling his thirsty Fieldmaster. At 4:20 pm at the same Costco he paid $4.97 to fill it again.

Saw one out doing errands and had to double take it wasn't a restored LR. Very neat vehicle although owner knew nothing about it which I found kinda strange.....Had 15K miles on it already.

Well, at least you don't live in CA. My local Costco is priced at $6.39/gal for premium, which one of my vehicle requires. Good thing that's my toy car and fills up once a month.

So with the exception of being off-road oriented this is pretty much the polar opposite of a Rivian in every other regard?

Heavens, what has the world come to! It pains me to great lengths that noblemen such as you have to go to Costco. We should fetch a ship from the middle (east) earth realm to quench our thirst. Cheers!

It's going to get worse before it gets better, if ever. Perhaps direct the staff to garage one of the R1's. You can use it to tow your Grenadier to the trail and save on fuel. Plus, you'll have a more capable recovery vehicle close at hand.

The Count switches between them every 1,000 miles in order to achieve a weighted average of >35 mpg.

They are similar in that weirdos seek The Count out in parking lots to talk about them. Both also have glitchy software.

The manual Recaro seat in the Grenny is better than the R1S seat. Neither has a snow plow option although the winch on the grenny can probably be jerry rigged.

Grenny had no mechanial problems in the first 27 months of ownership... the Royal R1S can't say the same.

If someone can mate these two, life would be even more worth living.
