i picked up another pouch of TireJect. https://www.tireject.com/

I do need to get a spare but figure the extra TireJect could be helpful.

Also, while a little over the top, the Cinderella incinerator commode is pretty impressive. The travel / RV version is here:
https://service.cinderellaeco.com/us-en/products/3671/cinderella-travel-incineration-toilet

Has to be more comfortable than a 5 gallon bucket and a pool noodle.

I’m thinking of getting recovery straps and the soft shackles from eTrailer: https://www.etrailer.com/s.aspx?qry...traps&furl=-pg-Tow_Straps_and_Recovery_Straps

How much space do you have between the top of the cooler and the bottom of the tonneau with that Iceco cooler?
It's about 1-1/4" below the underside

I use the BougeRV fridge/freezer most of the time. It can fit in the frunk, gear tunnel, truck bed, and sit on top of the subwoofer in the back seat for easiest access. The Igloo BMX 52 qt cooler is the perfect height as it just barely fits under the TC. If you take both, keep the BougeRV on freezer mode to freeze your blue ice packs and then swap them from your Igloo when they aren't effective anymore. Popsicles or ice cream are a treat to have while camping. Last year we went on a white water rafting trip with our scout troop and the kids loved it when I handed out bomb pops from the BougeRV at the end of the day.

Which BougeRV model is this? Also, how long have you had it? Any issues with it so far?

I'm looking at the BougeRV 41QT Dual Zone. It's around $400 but I really want a dual-zone fridge - it can be either all fridge, all freezer, or split in two. Only bummer is that the smaller side cannot be cooler than the larger side. This weekend I'm actually constructing a cardboard box with the exact dimensions of this fridge to see if it could fit in the R1S sub-trunk - I think it will be really close. If it does then it meets my use case perfectly. I'll get the risers to ensure it gets circulation. If it doesn't fit I may go with a smaller unit that does.

No hurry on my part...It's a "nice to have" because I have lots of coolers that take ice packs.

How long have you had the IceCo? Any issues with it so far?
Bought it this time last year, did a week long trip down the Oregon/California coastline in June, and another week road trip in Sept to Yosemite, and just finished 2 weeks camping through BC, Alberta, Sask. and it kept everything inside the cooler at 2-3c the entire time, in spite of the 35c/95f heat. We also use it most weekends, so it pretty much lives under my tonneau through all conditions, dust, rain, cold, heat, off road and on.

No issues. just wipe the interior clean and air it out after use. Comes with extra corner feet, an extra handle beyond the two needed, a convenient wire basket so you don't need to pack the cooler out of the vehicle to load it etc, just take the basket.

Often I use a ratchet strap from along the passenger side of the bed to keep it in place if we have nothing else inside the bed to brace it, otherwise it will slide around a bit under hard accel/decel. I considered briefly putting rubber feet or a mat under it, but then sliding it out from under the tonneau would be a pain. One thing that is quite nice about it, is the lid opens from either side, or can be lifted completely off which makes access very convenient.

I checked, and the promo code I used CHARGEOVERLAND is still good for 12% off. I would still wait for a sale if you can and try to combine the two.

So, I've got a Rooftop Tent being delivered this week. I've got two sets of cross bars, with plans to sometimes run the tent over the bed and other times over the cab. There will be times I want to keep the over bed space available for bikes.

So I have the tent, I have the bike racks, and I have the gear guard cables. What I need is everything else. I plan to go with 1-2 other people on 1-2 day trips. So I need a table, some chairs, a toilet, a privacy tent to change in, a shower, etc... I want stuff that will fit in the gear tunnel, the frunk and under the power tonneau.

So far on my list I have:
  • Table (leaning towards Lifetime 4 foot table from Home Depot, but open to others)
  • Camp chairs
  • Awning (do I want an EZ Up? A shade sail and some ropes? Something attached to the crossbars?)
  • Cooking appliance (thinking about a 22" Blackstone with Stand, but would I rather have the Rivian kitchen? Or something else?)
  • Toilet - what toilet do you guys recommend? Something that is as friendly to a wife who likes creature comforts.
  • It seems like the Husky bins have a clear top and fit under the tonneau cover, so I'll likely want to leverage those.
  • Powered cooler or fridge...something to keep meat, eggs, etc... from going bad. What do you recommend and where does it go?
  • Soft shackles, a hitch recovery point, tow strap, recovery boards, etc...
Please help complete my list of what I need to have an enjoyable day or two overlanding.
This is my optimal setup for cooking, but pricier than the 22ā€ Blackstone: https://us.gozney.com/products/trea...MIsM7jpZnEjgMVQRatBh30FxI1EAQYASABEgLfH_D_BwE

In a similar boat as you, so watching this thread closely! Just starting to build out my setup as well.

I'm not going quite as far as an actual shower, but I got the Yakima RoadShower(7gallon) and I've only used it once but it worked just fine. I'm mostly looking for rinsing off bikes and myself casually, so wasn't too picky on that front. https://yakima.com/products/roadshower

I purchased the Yakima Over n Out 180Āŗ awning because while it has poles, you don't need to use them unless you're in heavy weather. It's self supporting so you can quickly fold it away if needed, and if it's raining it has little struts that fold up/down and angle the tarping so the water runs off. I sadly haven't had the chance to install or use it yet (still trying to find a 2nd set of used crossbars in WA for the roof) so I can't report back yet. https://yakima.com/products/overnout-180

For the fridge, I'm debating between the Icoco mentioned early in the thread, and the Dometic CFX35, which I know fits under the tonneau as well. Haven't taken the plunge yet on that either, so unfortunately can't guide, just sharing my working list.

I camp very often in my Rivian and actually have a YouTube channel documenting my trips. I talk about the stuff I’m using and things I want to improve for the next trip, so it might be a good reference. AMA, but anything that can improve setup and tear down are key. It’s easy to overpack and bring a lot of gear that you never end up using, so my advice is after your first trip, assess what was absolutely essential and leave the rest behind. Linked my channel below if you wanna check it out!

So, I've got a Rooftop Tent being delivered this week. I've got two sets of cross bars, with plans to sometimes run the tent over the bed and other times over the cab. There will be times I want to keep the over bed space available for bikes.
FWIW I had the same "tent over the bed sometimes and the cab other times" dream and I think it would be a hassle in practice. I install my tent with a hoist and leaving the crossbars mounted to the tent makes it super easy. But the roof mounting brackets are narrower than the bed points (and I think differently spaced) - you'd have to redo the tent fixing to the crossbars every time you switch, which seems like a huge hassle.

I just got a hitch rack with a swingout for the bikes when I have the tent mounted. If you get the 1UP rack you can add/remove trays as needed so you don't have a bunch of wasted space - I bought the bed racks and then a hitch adapter so I can choose between over-bed, over-roof, or hitch-mounted.

  • Awning (do I want an EZ Up? A shade sail and some ropes? Something attached to the crossbars?)
Mileage may vary, but I see a lot of awnings on rigs and almost never see them deployed... maybe because I'm in the northwest. I almost bought one several times but this is one where I'd give it a go without it for a while and see if you really miss it. It's a lot of drag and weight and cost to carry around. (I suspect most people would prefer a freestanding canopy if you really want a rain/sun cover).

  • Powered cooler or fridge...something to keep meat, eggs, etc... from going bad. What do you recommend and where does it go?
IceCo 20 is great because it fits in the frunk, but be warned that it will struggle to keep up in direct summer heat (85+ degrees) - the frunk just gets too hot. The smaller Dometic CFX units fit in the bed with the tonneau closed - or anything under 17" tall.
  • Toilet - what toilet do you guys recommend? Something that is as friendly to a wife who likes creature comforts.
After much consideration I decided that the only toilet that was wife-friendly was a 20' Airstream 🤣
