Imagine a HUD unit with AR. Check out the Audi q4etron. That hud unit is sick looking. I’d take that in a minute.
I work on AR HUD systems. They're larger than a traditional HUD.
You need to reserve a volume of almost 20 liters for AR in order to get enough coverage of the road scene.

Wow, good to know. I've only used HUD's in my cars. Some offer more detail than others. I liked the Audi's because it is radically different than any of the one's I'm familiar with. Some have mentioned that they want nothing in their line of sight. Every HUD I had was dimmable. So it was there when I wanted it and not when I didn't. When I wore polarized sunglasses, it wasn't there.So for those that don't like it, yet are stuck with it, buy polarized sunglasses and your problem will be solved.
