I'm not going to lie, I preordered one. Because I was ordering within minutes of release I'd probably be in line sooner than my Silverado EV order and this has better styling IMO.

Also I agree $107k sucks but pretty comparable to a moderately equipped max pack with current pricing.
AT4 probably comes in sub 100k and only a few months behind the Denali. Those are also "estimated" prices, so should be taken with the same grain of salt/disclosures the current Rivian prices have (but presumably any movements will be across all makes/models).

Hmmm 400 miles I’ll believe it when I see it. No electric truck/suv has been able to break that threshold. Mayyybe with the massive over 200kwh hummer ev battery, but the truck would have to have some really good aerodynamics.
Battery will be 212 kWh

I reserved the Silverado before the reservations were supposed to be open. No such luck on the Sierra but I did get one in the first minute. I might be the first person to trade a Silverado EV in for the Sierra...

Rivian claims their Max pack is 180kWh and will be over 400 mile range.

I don’t see why GMs claim is not plausible.

So you will have two R1T’s going off your signature and a Silverado EV. Who needs two or three trucks? Plus the R1S later.

I like keeping my options open. It would be a different story if I could just walk into a dealership, test drive something and buy it.

I originally pre-ordered the R1T expecting Rivian to build the max pack at SOP because they said they were going to. I switched to the Large pack to get a truck sooner, and decided to order another vehicle as a max pack. Will be trading in for the Max once they sell me it.

Looks like a nice truck. $107 of course, is a steep figure, but not out of line with the competition. Rivian, a much smaller truck, at today's pricing is in that ballpark. The Silverado is $105K. Even the already outdated F-150 Lightning is pushing close to $100K and has far less range, no air suspension and was simply an ICE conversion. Give or take $10,000 or so, they're all pretty much in the same price range.

Ford made sure to design theirs to appeal to its existing truck owners. Now GM will have a little of both. The GMC being more conventional truck like while the Silverado has a more unique style that may appeal more to new buyers. GM, between the two truck offerings, could be positioned to do very well.

And 400 miles in range is more than doable. For now, everyone is complaining that 300 isn't enough. Most new ones will have 400 miles, but then many will complain that they need 500 miles!! LOL

Totally agree here, looks awesome but the $107K price tag is a dealbreaker for me. They really need to start pumping out some more affordable EVs for the rest of the world.

FWIW, our 2015 GMC 6.2L Heavy Tow has been bulletproof, including several 1200 mile solo boat tows of upwards of 7k+ lbs.

Wow. I’m really excited about the future of cars. Automakers are stepping up their game. The truck will be making a $65k version that doesn’t look like a total POS compared to the top trim level.
