Those are wholesale buyers paying that price, usually working for dealerships who request specific vehicle make/models within a certain budget. They're pretty well spread out on the map, so it isn't a west coast phenomenon.
I am thinking of trading my R1T for a Model X. Adventure trim, 2022, 57,000 miles & Tesla offered $52,000. I didn't think that was bad; especially for a wholesale value. Illinois zip code.
Who "adjusted" the MMR value? You? Last summer with 22,000 fewer miles Rivian offered me 60,000. Was a better market and only one model year old then. If I trade instead of sell I save $3500 in sales tax.
That's actually really, REALLY GOOD in my opinion for a trade-in. Same exact truck but with less than 3,000 miles only just recently sold for $60K on carsandbids.
My latest Carmax value tracker was $41,400 but I have ~12k more miles than you.
