Hey y'all, I share this not to flex on having 12V in the center dash, though it does seem like that is required for this unless you do some OBD to 12V workaround. I bought a mini tiny fridge that is just large enough to fit a 6 pack of cans and just small enough to fit in the center "holding area" between the front row legs.

Amazon link for those that might want it: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B097PKF6G1

Great option for road trips. I was lucky enough to get an early R1S with 12V in dash yet no 12V battery drain issues like people seem to report. I suspect this will be mostly useful for 2022 models, early R1Ts... The fridge will open enough even with the cup holder out, if you move it back.

Now only if someone can figure out the camp speaker replacement with insulated fridge/cooler instead of just another storage bay....

I've been thinking about getting a thermoelectric cooler like that for in the car. I'm not lucky enough to have 12V in the front, but I could either run it from the back or use AC from the 2nd row. I have a stupid question for you:

Does it work flat on its back (with the door facing upwards) or are the vents on the back? It just seems that it would be much easier to use in the front console in that position.

Judging by pictures posted… wouldn’t fit and still have use of cup holders. Plus, the cord is probably in the back. You’d have to make a stand so it isn’t laying directly on the cord. Personally, I’d get a soft backpack cooler (like this https://polarbearcoolers.com/products/topper-20) and slim freezer packs. If not opening constantly, should last a couple days. Low tech. No power draw.

Saw this crowdfunding campaign few weeks ago. Interesting but looks too big for the space. https://shorturl.at/qQ8KP

I used an ICEGO20 and a Bluetti to run it. Plug bluetti in to R1T to recharge or do solar on bed when parked.

The tiny fridge doesn't work any other orientation because of vents and available height. Re: anyone that wants to make a fridge out of the camp speaker/drawer slot, there's probably not enough room for more than one or two 12 oz cans already, but you could probably insulate a drawer with some extra materials.

I took a short camping trip myself yesterday and actually didn't even bother with this tiny fridge because the drive wasn't long. What I brought for the night was this VEVOR car fridge, which has just enough height to fit in the very back of my R1S and also be accessible. I made a sandwich and ate it on the tailgate, while I was at a fast charger today. https://www.homedepot.com/p/VEVOR-1...eezer-in-Silver-BXS50LC50110VHFZNV1/320723524

In case anyone is looking for a thermoelectric cooler option large enough to hold standard 500ml bottles, this holds 8 bottles or 16 standard (355ml) cans, can run on 12v or 120v (both cords included), and opens from the top. It’s switchable to keep hot things hot if you want. The major downside is it will not fit in the front console area so I either put it on the floor of the second row or belt it into the middle seat of the second row. Then I just plug the 120v into the back of the center console and whoever is riding shotgun also provides the beverage service. It comes with a carrying strap long enough to be a handle but I modified it to be a shoulder strap so I can carry it along with other stuff.
