Bent Hood Hinges?

Took my truck in for service due to airbag service message and the hood depressing at speed. They called me a couple of days later and said my hood hinges were bent (may have come that way from the factory). I haven't had any other hood issues. Going on for 2 weeks now as the hinges have to be replaced and painted at a body shop near the service center. Has anyone experienced bent hood hinges?

Yes. I have this issue as well. When the mobile tech came out, he didn't even know what the issue was. He had to call his lead who told him to look at the hinges. When he did that, he saw they were both bent. This just all happened today. Sadly, nobody can tell me definitely that this is a warranty issue.

It was repaired under warranty for me. They cut off the bent hinges and soldered on new ones and then sent it to a body shop for paint. Took about 3 weeks.

pro tip: if you are in a front end collision make sure the repair shop replaces the hood hinges even if they claim they look spec. Otherwise you'll end up like the Count and have to return your R1x for additional work to get the hood mounted correctly.

Is there any way to visibly tell if they are bent? would add that to my pre-delivery inspection

I don't think mine were bent on delivery. I only started having this issue recently. If you look at the pictures below, there's basically a hinge "ear" that connects to the top of the strut. It's bent inward on both sides.

I have this issue and was like this from day one. So must be some issue at the factory. My truck has just about 1500 miles on it. I didn’t realize the hinges were bent til recently though. As I never have used the trunk before. Except recently when sending the truck to a shop for PPF, I opened the frunk when I got there and it oddly opened all the way then sunk 50% down and nearly hit me on the head. Called Rivian about it and scheduled service. But now am worried :/

these look worse than normal. And truck has less than 1500 miles. Frunk has never opened properly from day one. Hoping to have it fixed in a week or so
