They didn't accept 50K LE configurations (and very likely don't have 50K total reservations).I will be very impressed if they can produce more than 50,000 cars in next 11.5 months in addition to Amazon vans.
Thank for making me super exited that the line is shorter than I thought. They didn't accept 50K LE configurations (and very likely don't have 50K total reservations).
It's a long thread but if you go to page 11 or so you'll see that there was a sudden 20K jump in order numbers at one point.
Rivian also "sold out" of LEs before all reservation orders had a chance to configure, so they imposed a limit of some kind likely based on expected production capability (and fudge factor for those that don't covert a configuration to an order?)
I am glad I am not the only one in the 200M number range! I went thru this with Tesla and the Model 3 I was in line the morning they went on sale and they did the whole what is your order number thing I was 36k - 86k but got the configuration email about a week after they started production and delivery 3 months from the first delivery. I will say I am more excited about this than the Model 3.I finally committed to my preorder 11/12/20.
My number on the website is #275490939...so I think you're right about the number system changing.
It's 20k or 25k less than your # depending on what group you're in if you're not in the first group. Guesstimate is probably a pretty accurate 60/40 R1T/R1S. And then there's cancels and non-LE orders to consider. I'm at 43k but adjusts to like 13.7k minus ? in non-LEs/cancels. Hoping to see mine in August.I am glad I am not the only one in the 200M number range! A while back someone figured out that the order numbers we saw were pulled from Shopify or something like that, and they seemed to start at 1000I figured they'd get a ton of day 1 deposits, but I guess there are only a few of us on here. So has anyone seen a number lower than 1000... or do we think they started at 1000?

Eeyore, you were able to configure for LE? If so you are likely one of the last to get in. Congrats11/15/20 Order number 276179070 from the website.
I'm in for a R1T LE, so I'm hoping that I'll get mine this year.
All indications are that they started at 1000. You are almost certainly in the first month of deliveries depending on model and configuration. Hopefully you get a test drive in April or May.I figured they'd get a ton of day 1 deposits, but I guess there are only a few of us on here.
