You don’t get why you shouldn’t qualify for a tax credit? Your AGI is over $350,000. That’s an AGI, which means thar after you take all the deductions, what remains is above $350,000. You think you need a government assistance to buy a $100,000 vehicle?
is there something magic about someone with AGI of $349,999 that makes it fine and dandy they qualify?

I’m sure you can arrange to earn $1 less and pocket $7,500. I suspect his AGI is significantly higher than $350,000. Yet, he bitches about the measly $7,500.

My opinion is that no one should be getting government subsidies to purchase luxury products. EVs are luxury products.

And my opinion is that unless you have my tax bill you have no real standing to comment on it. Its understandable why I am complaining about having to pay more simply for being successful. The thing that is confusing is why you're all butthurt over it.

My opinion is keeping your money that you earned is NOT a subsidy first and foremost secondly if they are going to offer the credit at all on as you said a luxury good excluding me is stupid. I'm fine with doing away with it altogether but I suspect many others here wouldnt be.

Since you're so concerned what I and everyone else here pays in taxes I'm sure you're paying extra when you file right? You know the IRS gives that option to pay more don't you?

I couldn’t care less what you are earning. Your sense of entitlement is what bothers me. The AGI exceeding $350,000 doesn’t equal success. You could have inherited the money and have a minimum mandatory distribution that generates your AGI. The bottom line is that you are making enough money but yet you are bitching that you were left out of the government handout. True American!

The cutoff may seem arbitrary, but it's clear the intention is to target lower income buyers, not merely help manufacturers push more sales.

If you believe taxed money is YOUR money, USA is not a country for you! And don't even think about moving to Europe or Canada, they will rip your wallet a new one with all their socialist agendas.

Which one of us is more entitled? I feel im entitled to the money I earn by working and YOU also feel like you're entitled to that money. There's the real American dream. Who gets to say I'm making " enough" money? Enough for what? When were you elected the tsar of finances?

All I see is someone with a bowl full of sour grapes who feels he has the right to tell people already paying more than he is to shut up and open that wallet. Here's an idea, how about you get off YOUR ass and start a business. Work your ass off for the next 20 years and then you can send in extra contributions to make up for the 7500.

Better yet, why wait. Open your check book and send that 7500 in now. There's nothing stopping you since YOU seem to think its owed. Funny how people always seem to think they know how other people should spend their money or how much those people are allowed to make or keep.

It IS my money and the government has long since forgotten that.

Ummm you know tax rates used to be much higher right? Try calling 911 and see what happens if you expect to not pay any taxes.
They were much higher with many more deductions. Also where I live my fire department and ambulance service are volunteer. Also where did I say I don't want to pay any taxes? I said that if anyone is getting a tax credit the people who pay the most taxes should qualify as that only makes sense.
