Just blacked out the front edges of the Rivian lettering and compass emblem on the hood with Brainexploder’s kit:

https://www.brainexplodermerch.com/product-page/blackout-badge-kit-for-rivian-r1t

I think the OEM badge coloring is perfectly fine. I just prefer the blackout look. I think it matches the black trim better - and it matches the A/T bright glossy black vinyl that I did.

These badges are an easy installation and it’s very easy to go back to stock.

I also could not get the letters to stick, and like others have said... They're cut slightly too big. The edges catch. Mark sent me a revised (more sticky) set, but the issue with them being too large remains. Someone needs to make replacement badges vs vinyl covers.
Since you brought it up. I didn’t like how the black decals don’t cover enough of the silver on the rear R1T emblem. So I designed duplicates & 3D printed them using carbon fiber nylon filament.

I got the black badge decals and love the look (except in the “R1T” badge, because it doesn’t cover enough of it). I installed them per the instructions. First wash after all the rain, several letters are gone & it looks ridiculous. Gonna have to remove the rest, sadly.
To his credit, the guy that sells these (forget his name) responded to my complaint by agreeing to send me a new set of decals with stronger adhesive.

Mine are holding up quite well 4 months later. My truck is outdoors all the time under a carport at home. I have it handwashed about every 2 weeks by a mobile detailer.

YMMV apparently.

I took the pics below within 5 minutes of this post.

Actually, yes. Wheel stickers look great, too, with no noticeable signs of wear to me. It’s only been 4 months, though.

I think wraps can last years, but there is sure to be some wear eventually. We blacked out my wife’s now 3 year old Model 3 and the edges just started to fray a bit.

I used the vinyl blackout kit from brainexploder.
It’s looks great and was easy to apply.
That’s said, no chance they stay on (at least not all) through a car wash. I think for “permanent effect) you would need to plasti-dip (which I might do when it’s warmer (New England) or just remove the side emblems completely

As expected, the vinyl emblems are falling off after a single run through the car wash. It’s just the sides (which I may just remove). The emblem covers on the rear appear to have survived. The adhesive needs to be stronger and the emblems need to be shrunk slightly to eliminate any edge overhang at all. I previously blacked out the emblems on a Tesla MYP with vinyl covers and never had an issue…I consider it a waste of $$, unless you are someone that only hand washes your vehicle …

Anyone try plastidipping emblems with or without glossifier? Seems stickers fall off and replacement emblem dimensions/thickness have a tendency to look slightly “off” like counterfeit luxury brand logos 😬

I'm considering these but don't like the fact you can see chrome on sides. Will get quote from shop.

I plastidipped my emblems initially. Front and side held up well and looked good. Back Rivian logo started to wear on the edges after washing. Decided to take off my side badges altogether (made cleaning easier) and spray painted my back logo and happy with the results
