Driver+ disengaging... "Highway Assist Unavailable Until Your Next Drive"

This alert appeared as I was driving along a Texas highway. I had been using Driver+ and as asphalt would cede to concrete on bridge overpasses, Driver+ would disengage.

After a few of these incidences and corresponding warnings to take control, I got this message.

Has anyone else seen this?

Perhaps I did something wrong, but could Rivian actually decide when and where I can use Driver+?

No image but yes that's Rivian jail you cant use driver plus until you stop and restart again.

Learned the hard way as you have, do what the truck tells you or you are put in "Driver+ jail" for the duration of the drive.

That means if it posts a warning about "take control of the vehicle", you must manually disengage Driver+ by lifting the right hand stalk. If you do not, after a few more warnings, it will disengage for you but deem you don't listen well and must sit in the corner and think of about what you did.

it works because I sat in that corner and now I don't want to go back. I disengage when it tells me too

Has happened to me a few times. Reactivates once you stop and restart your drive the next time.

You can tug the wheel and then only disengage the steering, that method leaves the adaptive cruise on, and regen will not slow the vehicle for this case. This has to be the most annoying feature of Driver +, the next one being that it will not automatically re-engage after a lane change.

I am old school and don't use Driver+, I do however use cruise control. I grew up and learned how to drive on a 1968 VW Bug. Our drivers assist consisted of me using my knees to drive......LOLOL

My parents still have the 68 VW,,,,,,original owners
