I just connected my external hard drive. So the short clips when I click the record button only shows 2 minutes on the center console. But if my drive is let’s say 60 minutes, will the entire 60 minutes be recorded on the external hard drive but only show the first 2 minutes on the center console?

what’s the difference between “delete video” and “delete event”? When I click “delete video” I still see the 2 minute clip on the center console for some reason but when I click “delete event” then the 2 minute clip will disappear from the center console.

I think each event has four videos, from the four quadrants: Front, Rear, Right, and Left.

If that's correct, "Delete Video" should delete one of the four videos, but not the whole event.

Does Drive Cam turn on when all doors are locked? What if the hatch is open but the doors are locked?

I see the record button when I have the rear hatch open but the rest of the doors locked. Does that mean drive cam is recording?

There is no indication of Drive Cam recording, only the manually initiated clips.

So that “record” button that I see is just the 2 minute maximum clips you’re referring to.

Yes, it only indicates for the two minute clips.

The only way to know is test the scenario and use another computer to see if Drive Cam recorded.
